As an actively performing professional vocalist and actress, Katherine offers her students a unique and invaluable perspective on both the technical art of singing as well as the world of auditions and the business of performing. Vocal technique meets professional savvy, allowing her students to gain poise and confidence to prepare them for all aspects of performance. Lessons focus on healthy singing technique (proper breath support, tonal production, registration, diction, style, etc.), performance presentation, and audition preparation.

Katherine Sandoval Taylor, described by the Boston Globe as “stunning,” has appeared in jazz, oratorio, concert, musical theater, and opera performances throughout the country. She holds vocal performance degrees from The New England Conservatory (MM) and Furman University (BM). Katherine has proudly worked with nationally renowned theaters and companies as well as the internationally renowned vocal coaches Pierre Vallet, John Moriarty, and Stan Tucker, and Metropolitan Opera soprano, Patricia Craig. Favorite roles performed include Maria, (West Side Story), Cosette (Les Mis), Emma (Jekyll & Hyde), Eliza (My Fair Lady), Clara (The Light in the Piazza), Anne (A Little Night Music), Guinevere (Camelot), Tuptim & Anna (The King and I), Katherina Cavaliere (Amadeus), Aurelia Havisham (Miss Havisham's Wedding Night) & Nannetta (Falstaff).
With nearly 15 years of teaching experience, Katherine is a member of NATS and has worked with the Boston Children's Chorus as well as The St. Louis Vocal Arts Institute.. Katherine’s students have regularly participated in district and state solo auditions (SETC, UPTA, All-County Theatre, National Honors Choir, etc.), voice and talent competitions, have been selected as soloists for opera, choral, concert & theatrical productions throughout the state, & have been accepted into and received scholarships for University music and theatre programs.
